This is such a simple little DIY/recipe! Literally anyone can do it and it takes no time at all. The platter is 100% edible if that's what you want to do with it but it can also keep for a few weeks as decor as long as you keep it in a cool, dry place. I personally made mine purely for decoration which is why I went with two candy colors instead of one {see below!}

ingredients
1-2 large bags of peppermint candies in the color and shapes that you want {stick, candy cane, regular, red, green, etc.}
directions
1. To make a 9-inch platter, unwrap enough peppermint candies to cover the base of a springform pan. For larger or smaller platter, use an accordingly sized pan.
2. Line the base of the springform pan with parchment paper then arrange the candies on the paper. Place them in a circle around the edge about ¼ inch apart from one another until the pan is filled.
3. Place the pan in an oven preheated to 350°F and bake for 6 to 8 minutes or until the candies are melted and flat. Cool the pan and the peppermint platter completely before unmolding.
4. Unmold the platter. Display your favorite holiday cookies, candy, etc.!
And VOILA! Now think of all the other peppermint things you could make: peppermint candy bowls, peppermint candy shot glasses, peppermint candy ornaments... the possibilities are endless!
