This is just a quick post about my personal fitness preferences so none of y'all are surprised lol. As someone who’s been an athlete all my life, I have found that I need exercise in my life. The time I take to workout is fun for me and serves as a break from work and the rest of my life when things are stressful. It also makes me a nicer, more patient person lol.
Now, while I ran track all the way through college, I was a sprinter and do NOT consider myself a runner--at least not in the sense of enjoying running for miles and miles every day. In fact, that sounds like torture to me. I dread most forms of cardio so I rarely do it. When I do, it’s in the form of HIIT (high intensity interval training) circuits involving sprints, the stairmaster or jacob’s ladder. At most, I do this during the months leading up to summer, usually about 2 times per week.
I do however lift weights very regularly. I’ll try to post some weekly workouts for those of you who are interested. I’ll hopefully eventually get it together enough to also share some meal prep recipes for you guys too! Fair warning though: I am nowhere near as consistent with meal prepping as I am with working out lol. That's just because of how hectic my hospital schedule gets on certain rotations… #whatcanyoudo?
